Visitors to the University of Northwestern - St. Paul are welcome to use the library's resources while at the library. For those wanting to check out books, a visitor card may be purchased at the circulation desk for $15/year.
Visitor Privileges
- Borrowing books from the Berntsen Library's circulating collections (except curriculum library) with the purchase of a visitor card.
- Article databases and online resources can be accessed only from any of the public workstations at the library. Please request a guest login from the Circulation Desk during your visit.
- Northwestern audiovisual items can be used in-library on our playback equipment.
- Printing (b&w and color) is $0.05 per page.
Other Libraries to Use
- Materials from other MnPALS libraries are not available to visitors though you may buy visitor privileges at some MnPALS libraries.
- Interlibrary loan services are available from your local public library.
- If you are a Minnesota resident, you have free online access to eLibrary Minnesota (ELM) databases.
