There are various kinds of systematic theologies. Some are dense academic tomes and some are introductory surveys. What they hold in common is that they try to cover the entire breath of Christian beliefs presented in an organized manner. The pages in this guide are divided into broad denominational or traditional categories. Despite sharing a denominational or traditional category, there is a variety of theological views within each. For example, Wayne Grudem and Roger Olson are both Baptist, but one is a Calvinist and the other an Arminian. Similarly, in the Reformed tradition, Herman Bavinck is "conservative" where as Friedrich Schleiermacher is "liberal." And there are many other distinctions. Below are two surveys of theology each from within a broadly evangelical perspective.
