Library Liaisons

Academic libraries continue to adapt and flourish in response to profound changes in higher education, including student learning behaviors and educational delivery methods. Influencing factors include rapidly changing technology and the proliferation of information and information formats. For students, these factors require librarians to provide greater explanation, context-setting, and interpretation to help them make sense of their research projects within this environment. For faculty, library liaisons engage with assigned academic departments in order to foster collaboration more effectively and to provide a direct channel for partnerships in the educational process.

The following core competencies help to define and identify the variety of collaborations possible between librarians and faculty at UNW. Please, follow the links to learn more.

[We offer credit and thanks to the following university libraries for sharing their frameworks online: University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, the Ohio State University, Duke University, and University of Iowa.]
