Faculty Resources

The Berntsen Library supports e-learning through the library's liaison program which serves both traditional academic departments as well as the adult, online, and graduate programs and maintains partnerships with the Online Learning Office and Academic Technology. Faculty and staff may contact their liaison (see Library Liaison tab) for help with any of the following e-learning services:

• Content discovery of library-licensed resources
  • While library-licensed resources are not open content, the library subscribes to articles, books, as well as streaming video, and audio that may be linked to course sites and that include copyright permission.
• Content acquisition and access, e.g., multi-user license eBook.
• Library course guides, used for a research launching pad or for classroom materials support, e.g., https://guide.unwsp.edu/edu3235
• Discovery of and access to already-available Open Educational Resources.
• General guidance on copyright and fair use questions - contact Jessica Moore at jmmoore@unwsp.edu.

Specific examples from UP or Traditional courses include the following:

• Naxos Music Library (audio streaming) – supports the UP Introduction to Music course
• Swank Motion Pictures (streaming media) – supports the UP Film Appreciation course
• TumbleBook Library – supports curriculum design by elementary education students
• Value Line Investment Survey – supports the Investments class

Interdisciplinary e-resources provide a wealth of quality information that may be used for classroom materials support
