Jessica Moore's recommendation is La Tapatia, a local restaurant serving "Mexican Street Food" where everything on the menu is fresh, delicious, and customizable. Some of her favorites are the chips and salsas, street style tacos, and burrito bowls.
If you love Indian food, Greg Rosauer recommends Namaste India Grill & Brewhouse. This place is close and amazing.
Liz Weddle recommends China Restaurant. It's a five minute drive from campus. The food is delicious, and you get a ton of it for a good price, and the staff is super kind and welcoming.
Greg Rosauer recommends Red Cow for great burgers, and (just hear him out) their best one is the Ahi Tuna burger.
For a Vietnamese restaurant, Becky Halberg recommends Que Viet in Minneapolis, Home of The MN State Fair Egg Roll, or it's sister restaurant eM Que Viet in St. Paul. They both serve amazing egg rolls, nuoc mam wings, and authentic pho.
Greg Rosauer also recommends Mancini's. The atmosphere hasn't changed much since the '70s. Great food and some dancing.
Ruth McGuire's recommendation is Holy Land. You'll find authentic, creamy hummus, fresh pita, and beautifully seasoned meats and vegetables at this Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant.
Another recommendation from Greg Rosauer is Brasa. They have this green sauce that you're going to dream about afterwards.
Becky Halberg's recommendation is Punch Pizza. As a native New Yorker, Punch Pizza has the closest, foldable crust to NY-style pizza that she's found out here in MN. Her favorites from the menu are Napoli with sausage and Salame E Funghi.
Greg Rosauer recommends Yum!. They have great twists on traditional dishes. For example, their reuben is really good.
Nathan Farley recommends Cafe Latte. It's a drive but worth it!
Another recommendation from Greg Rosauer is Cecil's Deli. If you walk in, there's a restaurant toward the back. They have the best reuben, perhaps even the best hot sandwiches in the state.
